The Box Office Assistant Supervisor is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing ticket sales, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. This role involves Ticket Sales – process transactions (phone, walkup, online) via cash, credit card, other payment methods ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and handled with integrity; Set up events in ProVenue/Tickets.com; Train and supervise Box Office employees; Provide friendly and professional customer service; Event Support – responsible for opening and closing the Box Office for performances working weekday and weekends – both daytime and evening hours. Bartender, MAC Concessions

MAC Concessions Bartender primary duties is to sell food, drink and alcoholic beverages before, during and after MAC events. Responsible for ensuring that all liquor laws and regulations are followed as well as the cleanliness of all concession equipment are maintained while providing a high level of customer satisfaction. Bartender will prepare sales area to heighten presentation of products with both a set-up and breakdown process including restocking and following all cleaning procedures.


Assistant to Orchestra Manager – New Philharmonic
Temporary Part-time position: 12-15 hours a week

Assist Orchestra Manager including attending tech meetings, rehearsals and concerts to assist with needs of conductor, associate conductor and guest artist. Assist with writing contracts for guest artists and chorus. Attend staff and marketing meetings held in-person and Zoom. Assist with costuming as needed for opera, attend to Young Peoples Competition winners at concerts. Assist in tracking invoices for music, professional dues, and other supplies to assure adherence to budget. Attend and assist Orchestra Manager with visits to side-by-side high schools and New Philharmonic community outreach engagements such as lectures and/or musician performances. Maintain database of vocal audition information and results. Create content for postings on social media to promote the orchestra and upcoming concerts. Work with orchestra manager and personnel manager on payroll for the orchestra to include union dues, pension dues documentation, and compliance training completion.  Compile information for concert programs to included orchestra roster, biographies, repertoire, program notes, etc. Attend meetings/conferences in-person and on-line for League of American Orch and IL Council of Orchestras.

Requirements- Ability to read music and general knowledge of music and instruments. Bachelor degree in music. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.


Front of House Lead, Events and Exhibits

Serve as front of house lead at events and exhibits held at the McAninch Arts Center. Primary role is to work events and exhibits to deliver a high standard of exceptional customer service to all patrons. Greet guests and answer questions, help to resolve issues and assist with patron services, including but not limited to, seating, will-call, emergencies and overall comfort of patrons. Duties include supervise volunteer and paid ticket takers – leading pre-event meeting which includes assigning locations and tasks. Ensure theatres, restrooms, lobby and all public spaces are clean, safe and welcoming. Enforce policies regarding use of cameras and recorders, food and beverages, access and seating. Provide prompt, professional and courteous responses to all patron concerns. Follow all established procedures for opening and closing of house and/or exhibition. Adhere to all emergency procedures intended to ensure the safety and comfort of patrons. Ensure compliance with all ADA accessibility requirements.
