Enhance your students classroom learning with SchoolStage, the MAC’s educational performance series for kids in preschool through 12th grade. Complete with study guides, SchoolStage performances can help children and teachers meet Common Core Standards in a fun and entertaining way.

Attendance at any show, combined with pre- and post-performance activities, connects with one or more of the following standards:

  • Language
  • Reading for Literacy in History/Social Studies
  • Reading for Literature
  • Speaking and Listening
  • Writing

Additionally, in the Common Core Standards for Reading, the definition of the word text can be expanded to include non-printed works such as dance, music, theater and visual arts. A field trip to a live performing arts show offers a different way of perceiving and learning, and is a means to expand the toolbox of knowledge.

Follow the antics of two wildly eligible bachelors attempting to escape the constraints of Victorian society in their pursuit of love, marriage and happiness – though not necessarily in that order. Wilde’s witty comic masterpiece is peppered with an array of deliciously eccentric characters and seasoned with his notoriously biting social commentary.   Reservations:

Grades K–5 When the class gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip!
