MAC Chat featuring Trinity Academy of Irish Dance will perform from 2:10-2:40pm in the MAC Lobby prior to the concert.
For nearly 40 years, this Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison institution has become the most widely recognized Irish dance program shaping the lives of over 10,000 students. Trinity has set numerous competitive records and thrilled audiences worldwide with its innovative approach and attention to detail. Trinity won its first world title in 1987 and has the distinction of winning more world titles than all other American Irish dance schools.

Two of mariachi’s best share the stage – Chicago’s own Grammy-nominated Mariachi Herencia with chart-topping debuts on both Billboard and iTunes are defying a music industry trend and pairing up with Lupita Infante for an unforgettable night of classic mariachi music.

Cesar Maldonado and Marco A. Villela will provide insights on the concert. Mariachi music origins are in the cities of Guadalajara and Mexico City. As the ever-evolving genre’s influence spread, it reached Chicago and birthed the Mariachi Herencia de México. The energetic, virtuosic Latin GRAMMY-nominated group has issued chart-topping albums and performed across the North American continent.

The Beach Bum Investigative Team is planning a trip to the shoreline in the town of Oceanside when a phone call to the team’s clubhouse arrives with a desperate cry for help … then the phone goes dead! Something is wreaking havoc in this little seaside town. How will our hometown heroes solve the mystery when they can’t go near the water? Everyone becomes a detective to help the Beach Bum Team follow the clues to solve the ocean mystery before it is too late. Perfect for all ages.
