The Hokusai & Ukiyo-e: The Floating World exhibit coming to the Cleve Carney Museum of Art opens May 31, 2025 and will feature one of the largest collections of Japanese art in Europe. Debbie Venezia Talks About Arts and Events Taking Place Throughout DuPage County!

October is Arts DuPage Month — and there’s no better time to celebrate the arts across DuPage County. To kick off the season, Diana Martinez is joined by Debbie Venezia, Director of Arts DuPage, to explore all the arts events and creative happenings around the county.

Diana Martinez and Maestro Kirk Muspratt discuss the exciting New Philharmonic season coming to the MAC! The orchestra will perform Carmina Burana, Polovtsian Dances on Oct. 4 & 5; Romeo & Juliet, Cinderella on Nov. 1 & 2; New Year’s Eve Concert on Dec. 31 at 1:30p, 5p and 8:30p; Broadway on Jan 31 – Feb 1; and Harp of Ages & Pictures at an Exhibition on April 11 & 12.

Diana Martinez is joined by Ben Nadel, Music Director, Youth Symphony of DuPage, to learn about this group that is dedicated to bringing advanced ensemble training and performance opportunities to talented young musicians from DuPage County and the surrounding Chicagoland area.

Diana Martinez is joined by Dr. Mark Taylor, Director of the DuPage Community Concert Band, to learn about the upcoming season and the repertoire planned for their concerts. They will perform a variety of music that may be familiar to audiences along with some pieces that may be new, all of which will be a joy to experience.

Diana Martinez welcomes Gus Menary to the MAC and they discuss the BTE 2025-2026 season. Kicking off the season is Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley, the final chapter of the beloved trilogy inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. The show runs from November 20 thru December 21, 2025, with shows at 7:30pm Thursday thru Saturday and 3:00pm on Sunday. Additional shows in the season are Unnecessary Farce (January 29 thru March 1) and Birthday Candles (May 7 thru June 7).

Kurt Naebig, Director of Unnecessary Farce, joins Diana Martinez to discuss this upcoming goofy, funny show brought to the MAC by Buffalo Theatre Ensemble. The show will run from January 29 to March 1, 2026, with performances Thursday thru Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 3:00pm. Visit the MAC to see this show and have a good laugh.

Diana Martinez is joined by Steve Scott, Director of Birthday Candles, which will be on stage at the MAC May 7 thru June 7, 2026. This heartwarming tale of a woman from her 17th to her 101st birthday starring Connie Canaday Howard, is a kaleidoscope of life that will resonate with everyone. Buffalo Theatre Ensemble shows take place Thursday thru Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 3:00pm.
