X Trillion follows the grueling journey of an all-women, 14-member crew who sail 3,000 miles across the North Pacific Ocean through the densest accumulation of ocean plastic on the planet. The international crew includes scientists, sailors, designers, engineers and teachers on a month-long voyage carrying out cutting edge microplastics research to investigate the crisis of plastic pollution in one of the most remote places on Earth. The film raises awareness for conservation and sustainable practices to preserve this vital region of the planet.
