Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks

Kennedy Center Presents
Grades: 5th – 8th

Based on the award-winning book by Jason Reynolds, Look Both Ways presents 10 tales of what happens after the dismissal bell rings. These vignettes explore themes of identity, compassion, fear, and friendship—as told through puppetry, dance, music, projections, audience participation, kamishibai (paper theater), and more. This play encourages students to look both ways when crossing the street, and also to notice the people walking by.

School Stage daytime performances do not apply to subscriber discounts.
